Folklore – Volume 1

Scudley Records is proud to announce the release of FOLKLORE, a compilation album featuring original music from grassroots Perth artists.

This album is the first in what we hope will be a series of volumes to celebrate the amazing music being created in this part of the world. Grassroots artists from all over have come together to be part of FOLKLORE, showcasing Perth’s unique Folk, Acoustic and Roots music.

Scudley Records is passionate about the music being created in Perth, and too much of it goes unheard or unnoticed. FOLKLORE has been created to help bring the sound of Perth to the masses, to those who have yet to experience the unique sound this city has to share.

In an effort to get this album heard, Scudley Records has decided to release Folklore for FREE. You are free to download and share this album with as many people as you like. I believe that the music being created here in Perth is something truly special, yet hardly any of the general public realize what’s happening in Perth’s original music scene. I have created this album in the hope that more people will become aware of the amazing music being made in this city.

Not only is Folklore (including all artwork) free, but there will be many businesses around the city which will be broadcasting it regularly. A list of the businesses involved will be on this website very soon, so keep Scudley Records in your Favourites to find out where and when you can hear the album being played around town.
