Scudley Records was set up as a studio that can produce a vast range of styles. Primarily acoustic recordings and small bands, but occasionally I get approached to produce fully electronic music and hip hop – Maria JLP is one of those artists.
Maria JLP is someone who is passionate about their faith, and wanted to express that through her music. She came to me with a book full of lyrics and a melody for every chorus – Scudley Records created the rest. What Maria has created is an album of very catchy, spiritual songs that have a fresh sound and very strong message. Her love of music is very clear to me, and producing this album was a joy because she knew exactly what she wanted from the production. Not only is this the first album by Maria JLP, it’s also the first time she EVER recorded, so she’s done a fine job in her performance and is only going to go from strength to strength.
