Welcome to a very special episode of Close to Nowhere for this week.  Today I had the privelage of interviewing and recording live an artist from here in Perth named Lynda Smyth.  I’ve known Lynda for a few years now (I actually met her when she came to me for guitar lessons) and I can honestly say that she has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve come across.  She has a fantastic range and her song-writing is so impressive that it’s hard to imagine she’s not more well-known.

She’s recently released her debut album “Just Pretend” which features 12 beautifully crafted songs with amazing backing musicians to help bring her music to another level.  There’s something painfully honest about this album, you will find yourself getting drawn in and guided through Lynda’s thoughts, feelings and humour, delivered in such a fresh and unique way.
